Mostar Wine and Walk Tour
Join us for the Balkantina Original Mostar Tour

Discover Mostar through its charming cobblestone streets, rich history, and authentic wine heritage. First, join our 1.5-hour guided walking journey in the heart of Mostar. Here, local history and ancient winemaking traditions come together seamlessly. As your local guide, I will share the unique flavors and cultural secrets of Mostar. In addition, you will learn about centuries-old practices that make this sun-drenched region so special.
The Taste of Herzegovina: A Journey Through Native Wines
Herzegovina boasts a winemaking tradition that dates back to ancient times. Because the region enjoys over 230 sunny days a year and a warm climate, the rocky soil creates the perfect environment for local grape varieties.
During this tour, you will sample three distinct local wines:

Žilavka (The Emperor’s White Wine): First, we begin our experience near the iconic Old Bridge. Žilavka is a premium white wine known for its fresh taste and subtle mineral notes. Historically, royal courts enjoyed this local favorite.
Blatina (The Ruby of Herzegovina): Next, as our walk continues into Fejićeva Street, we stop to sample Blatina. This distinctive red wine features a deep ruby color and rich flavors of dark berries and spices.
Trnjak (The Rare Gem): Finally, our journey concludes at Balkantina, where you will enjoy a glass of Trnjak. Once a forgotten variety, Trnjak now offers bold notes of dark fruit and cocoa for a perfect finish.
